Here’s his story in his own words.

His beginnings: “Music is something that has been apart of my life for a long as I remember. When I was about 5 years old my brother’s and I would take turns making 15 second songs on the Nintendo DS. As I got older I expanded to recording on my phone, but at that time bandlab was not as popular as it is today so the recording process was pretty tedious and frustrating but I pushed myself to work with what I had until I was able to work in my own home studio.”

Inspirations: “Growing up I took inspiration from many genres of music. Some being Rock/Metal, Opera, Pop, Synth, and of course Rap/Hip-hop, however, within those genres my main inspirations are Kanye West, Tyler the creator, Gucci mane, xxxtentacion, J Cole, ICYTWAT, The Memphis sound as a whole and many more.”

The standout tracks that I absolutely love are “Anime and Chill “, “Everybody”, “On It” and “Maybe”. Here’s the backstory behind those songs:

“Anime and Chill”: “When I was in my freshman year of high school a couple of people jokingly said I should make a song with that title but I never got to work on it until my junior year since I would always say that im not making that song until I come across the perfect beat for it.One day I just so happened to come across the beat for anime and chill produced by nk music. I then wrote the lyrics throughout the whole school day then hopped right onto audacity once I got home, recorded, and then the rest was history. “Everybody” and for “On it” my inspiration behind these songs were just me trying to create an anthem that sounds hard and even a bit relatable and for “Maybe” I just wanted to speak on a life experience that I had once. When I heard the beat I knew I had to speak on something real and grimy in order to compliment the beat.”

His writing and music process: “Usually when making music I just freestyle what comes to mind until i run out of ideas then i punch in and repeat, I typically don’t write down my lyrics until after the song is complete unless I have a full idea ready to go. When I do write down my lyrics at times it can be a long process since I tend to do more overthinking when it comes to punchlines and references that I worry viewers won’t catch onto.”

What he wants his audience to experience with his music: “With my music generally I want my audience to have an enjoyable listening experience, one that shifts the energy of the listener from low to high. I also do talk about crime and the streets in my music but not to glorify it but to educate those who aren’t familiar with it. Speaking on things that shed light on how grim and grimy the hood can be at times and that despite the hoods ability to pull any innocent bystander into its depths, it is not impossible to avoid its clutches.”

His live shows: “At my shows my audience should expect a fun, energetic, and interactive experience, one that may be hard to get nowadays.”

The future for Zinc Numba 30: “After the dust settles from the release of THE WORLD IS YOURS it’ll be full speed ahead from there. I already have another project set to drop that will give my listeners a look at the unseen work that I’ve accomplished from 2021 but besides that the main goal I have is completing an Album that I also have in the works, for that project I plan on teaming up with a wide variety of local artist in Las Vegas and hopefully set a new standard for the sound of Vegas Rap. As far as shows that will have to be announced at a later time.”

What I love about Zinc Numba 30 is how he talks about real issues, while creating a sound and style all his own. From the smooth jazz vibe on “Anime and Chill” to the harder, more piano driven sounds on “Madness Must End”, his music is really a reflection of his influences, and I love that he’s not afraid to play around with his sound. Lyrically he is raw and real, dealing with issues of loss, love, capitalism, narcissism in people, real issues that we can all relate too,and I appreciate he tries to push himself lyrically every time to always go to the next level. I’m excited to see where the future will take Zinc Numba 30. I hope he keeps that raw energy in his music and lyrics, his passion really shines through and i hope he never loses that!
