Vegas Music Scene 2 Year Anniversary Concert!!! (What to expect!) :-)

Hello Rockstars!

My goal originally for Vegas Music Scene started as just simply having a love for the music scene and wanting the local bands and artists to just be seen and try to get their shows promoted. The biggest and unfortunate downside of trying to have a thriving local music and arts culture in the entertainment capital of the world, is that all of the wonderful local artists always get overshadowed by whatever bullshit is on the strip. Don’t get me wrong, whatever the strip offers is fine, but there is so much more to Las Vegas and Two years ago that was my simple goal: To give artists a voice to be heard. I feel all these years later, that is still an incredible goal and especially with the way our world is right now, I feel now more than ever, celebrating Music, Art, Freedom of Speech and freedom of Expression is so incredibly important and I feel that is our biggest power that we have; to be our unapologetic and creative selves and to never lose sight that everyone’s voices deserved to be heard! We are all amazing, important and please I hope all of you never lose sight of that!

So when I talked to Riyah Booking about doing a concert originally we always knew we wanted local bands and artists (of course! lol), but then she asked if we could make it more than that, so we decided to make it a celebration of the local community and also most importantly this is a celebration of Creativity and self-expression! And what better way to celebrate than by having a one of kind festival with 9 Local bands and Artists, 5 Local Live Painters, amazing local vendors and an incredibly important Non-Profit End Overdose Las Vegas.

Here’s what you can expect from the Vegas Music Scene 2 Year Anniversary Festival on 01/25!

Taverna Costera

Riyah

About Riyah:
Mariah Bongiovanni created the band RIYAH in January 2022 after managing other bands in the local scene. Mariah realized that they could do the work they do for other bands for their own band and so thus RIYAH was created.

Mariah’s background is mostly in choral work, being in choir for eight years, including at the collegiate level. They were also a part of the Choir Council, student council for the choir body, as secretary for three years then president during their senior year of high school.

Choir Council taught them the basics of how to put on events and bring the community together. Mariah has been putting on local shows/events including protests since 2020 and in April of 2024 RIYAH Booking came to be! RIYAH Booking is a collective that has a love for music and community.

By combining those things they hope to create a safe place where everyone can belong and enjoy themselves. Performing as a solo act on 1/25 Mariah hopes everyone enjoys the new music material and the festival!

ASSININE

About Assinine:
Hi! We’re ASSININE, Punk infused metal band from Las Vegas, NV.
We enjoy long walks off short bridges, warm bubble baths and all things Attitude Era Wrestling.
In our spare time we like to make music that is loud. Very loud.
Our sound varies from song to song – sometimes our songs hang more punk rock side, sometimes our songs hang more to the metal side.
Together, we also enjoy gossiping about the injustices invoked by our world leaders, “whistle” blowing the corrupt, and telling Spotify to suck it. 😁

ASSININE is made of up of 4 obnoxious components:

Lead Vocals – The Agitator: Velvet Taint
Lead Guitar – Axeman: Robby Chaos
Lead Bass – The Sac: Harry Sac
Lead Drums – Alex: The Romanian Skin-Slappa
*new music releasing 2025…except not on Spotify… because Spotify can suck it‼️

Love,
ASSININE.

Coco Vaughn

About Coco Vaughn:
Coco Vaughn is a new Emo/Post-Hardcore band out of Las Vegas. This new group was conceptualized by Dru Shaw when he wanted a new outlet for this heavy and nostalgic sound. Blending together elements of old and new while writing about authentic experience and seeking to live out the dream of Myspace and Mall Emocore; the journey of Coco Vaughn has only just begun.

Mushroom Forest

About Mushroom Forest:

“Mushroom Forest ignites the punk scene with a fiery blend of metal and thrash influences, drawing inspiration from icons such as My Chemical Romance, Megadeth, and The Wonder Years.

Founded by guitarist Judas Jones in early 2022, the band embarked on a spirited search for like-minded musicians to complete their lineup. Later that year, they were joined by drummer Robert Lewis, whose powerful rhythms became a key element of their dynamic sound.

In late 2023, the band welcomed Phoenix Brissette into their ranks, whose bass grooves and vocal prowess added a new dimension to their sonic arsenal. Judas Jones’s searing guitar work and impassioned vocals, coupled with Robert Lewis’s hard-hitting drumming and Phoenix Brissette’s demanding bass lines and compelling voice, form the backbone of their captivating sound.”

About ERBY:
ERBY is an abstract painter whose creative journey began with a scholarship to Memphis College of Art for a remarkable series of high school paintings. With a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, ERBY explores multiple art forms—including digital art, 3D clay, photo manipulation, photography, videography, and video editing. Their versatility extends online, where they were handpicked by Redditts creativity team to create custom avatars for their avatar program before it was opened to the public.

When painting, ERBY embraces spontaneity and intuition, typically starting with no preconceived idea. Like speaking before thinking, the process flows freely, guided by the moment and finished only when it feels complete. This unfiltered approach results in a raw, honest representation of thought in real time. By trusting instinct above structure, ERBY invites viewers into an immediate, organic world where emotion and creativity take center stage.

End Overdose Las Vegas

About End overdose:
End Overdose is a harm reduction 501c3 nonprofit based in LA with chapters all over the states. Through training, education, and compassion together we can end overdose. The End Overdose Las Vegas Chapter became official last year in July of 2024, but not without Nate Struod (Chapter President) and Mariah Bongiovanni (Chapter Vice President) volunteering with the organization since May 2022.

After losing many people close to them to a fentanyl overdose they have seen first hand how overdose impacts their community. Training and handing out Narcan and fentanyl testing strips at local rock and edm shows, EDC, and more Nate and Mariah hope to grow the Las Vegas chapter.

One goal for this city based chapter is to train all the local bartenders at every music venue on how to recognize an overdose and save a life.
