Artist : Jaclyn Rachelle
EP: “The Love Tape”
Release Date: April 24th, 2024.
Details: West Coast Native Jaclyn Rachelle hypnotizes with her new EP: “The Love Tape”. She takes you on a journey of love and loss, with a wonderful musical landscape of Hip Hop / Soul / Low-Fi experience with this EP. Her smooth and longing vocals on “Space Cowboy” and “Take Care”, up against wonderful beats that feels fresh while giving me a little bit of that trippy / landscape vibe, it’s the perfect music to listen to while your hanging with your friends, or those midnight drives in the car just exploring the world and listening to music. I find myself getting sucked into this sound and world so easily and I just never wanna leave it. I can’t wait to see the evolution of Jaclyn Rachelle, definitely one to watch out for.
Standout songs are: “Space Cowboy” and “Take Care”

Band: Set Alone
New EP: “For What It’s Worth”
Release Date: July 5th, 2024.
Details: Set Alone are coming out the gate swinging with this Rock / Metal album that talks about getting fucked over, love, and everything in between. I love how they bring out that soft side in songs like “Falling Out” which is such an amazing roller coaster of emotions, with painful lyrics about longing and lost love, it is definitely a stand out track for me. “Sweet Revenge” is a wonderful track that really shows off their skills as musicians and songwriters, I would honestly be happy with a whole album like this vibe. They have a little bit of everything in here for the listener; angst, sadness and pure rock, which I think is a wonderful introduction to Set Alone. I can’t wait to see a more expansive world in their next journey, they are already off to an incredibly strong start.
Standout songs are: “Falling Out”, “Doing Alright” and “Sweet Revenge”

Band: The Swamp Coolers
Album: “The Swamp Coolers Vol.1”
Release Date: April 12th, 2024.
Details: “The Swamp Coolers Vol.1” takes us on a wonderful journey of love, loss and just saying fuck it and starting over and trying to look on the bright side of life. What I love about Swamp Coolers is their throwback Country / Blues / Bluegrass vibe, all while keeping a fresh perspective and staying true to themselves. I will be honest and say when it comes to New Country I get a little apprehensive, since most of them lean into more of the pop vein than actual country. If that’s your thing, that’s great, but I’m a sucker for the old school Dolly Parton /Johnny Cash world, and that’s what Swamp Coolers feels like to me. They easily could have fit right into that world, which is why I find them such a wonderful change of pace. Between their wonderful musicianship and such honest lyrics, I highly recommend checking out “The Swamp Coolers Vol.1” and I cannot wait for Vol. 2 has to offer!
Standout songs are: “She Got Plenty”, “Keep Heading Down The Road” and “Train Car”

Band: Sunroom
EP: “Rope”
Release Date: July 18th, 2024.
Details: Sunroom’s EP “Rope” is my absolute favorite type of Indie music, that late 90’s / early 2000’s Ben Folds / Early Coldplay vibe that I love. The main title song “Rope” has a bouncy rock vibe all while having an incredibly sad juxtaposition with lyrics that have a sadness and longing about them. His vocals have a sincere and poignant honesty to what he’s singing, which perfectly blends with the vibe of their music. “Future” is another great track for me, that feels optimistic, fresh and feels like an automatic hit in my opinion. I think it’s a wonderful EP, even though I wish it was a bit longer. But I guess that’s the whole point, leaving the audience wanting more.
Standout songs are: “Rope” and “Future”
